A chromebook for Nahlaia to complete her schoolwork

Nahlaia and her family are currently struggling to make ends meet. They have been managing, but Nahlaia now needs a Chromebook to complete her homework, and her mother cannot afford one at this time. Nahlaia's school does not provide laptops for home use, and she has been relying on a cell phone for her assignments. Unfortunately, some tasks cannot be completed on her phone. Nahlaia performs well in school, but she would excel even more if she had a laptop to work on. She is smart and mature and would take great care of the device. The Division has helped the family with other essentials but is unable to purchase a laptop.
Nahlaia is 13 years old and lives in NJ
Nahlaia loves school and excels in math. She is also a member of the cheer team, which she enjoys very much. Nahlaia loves spending time with her family and likes to cook. She enjoys hanging out with her friends as well. During nice weather, they ride bikes outside and spend time at the local park. In the winter, they enjoy getting together at each other’s homes to watch movies and create TikTok dances. Nahlaia and her family receive support services from the Department of Children and Family Services.
