Jolene is a lively girl who has truly blossomed after joining her middle school's competitive cheer team. This experience has not only brought her out of her shell but has also improved her social skills, helping her create meaningful friendships with her peers. She feels nervous about her upcoming competition and is a bit sad that she won't have anyone there to support her. She asked her advocate if she could make a wish to cover the cost of having her advocate attend. Since there are strict rules about what the advocate is allowed to pay for, it would be greatly appreciated by them both if this wish could be granted in time for Jolene to have her favorite advocate there for her.
Jolene is 13 years old and lives in CA
Jolene is a big sister to two younger siblings and has been in foster care for some time. She was removed from her home due to physical and emotional abuse, as well as being exposed to ongoing domestic violence. Despite her challenging circumstances, she is bright, kind, caring, and mature for her age. Jolene enjoys school and is currently building friendships with her classmates. She loves being active, spending time with her foster family, and helping to care for her siblings. Additionally, she practices gymnastics and has a competition coming up.
