Rin is getting ready for the summer term of her freshman year in college. She lives on the upper floor of a tall building that does not have any air conditioning. Rin is concerned about overheating in her apartment, which may hinder her ability to concentrate on her coursework. To beat the heat and maintain her health and focus during her final term as a freshman, Rin is requesting a portable air conditioning unit for her apartment.
Rin is 20 years old and lives in OR
Rin lives as a participant in a semi-assisted living program for Transition-Aged Youth. She is working toward attending college, where she plans to major in creative writing. Rin entered the Department of Human Services (DHS) care as a teen and later moved with a family member. However, she reentered DHS care and has been in the system ever since. By the time she turned 18, Rin had lived in 10 different placements. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, participating in Dungeons & Dragons (DnD) with friends, writing poetry, and reading books.
