Vertez is currently living in an apartment with his grandma after experiencing a period of homelessness with his mom. He is struggling with nightmares at night, and his grandma wants to help him feel safer while he sleeps. To do this, she is considering having him sleep with a weighted dog that he can hold onto for comfort.
Vertez is 6 years old and lives in OH
Vertez is a very sensitive boy who doesn't speak very much. He has witnessed a lot of scary things, and is learning ways to feel more safe and secure. He relies on his siblings for comfort and security, and is very nurturing to them as well. He likes to watch other kids play and enjoys playing with play doh and other hands on materials.
