Mikey is enrolled in a Charter School this year. The school is close to the aunt's home and it is where his cousin attends school. His aunt already has a relationship with the school staff and feels confident that this school can meet Mikey's needs. The school has minimal resources for providing technology for students so have asked that they all get their own Chromebook.
Mikey is 15 years old and lives in NC
Mikey is a twin. He and his twin are 2 of six siblings in foster care. They have recently moved into their aunt's home for the purpose of adoption. Mikey loves to travel with his aunt to see other family members and likes to hang out with friends in the neighborhood. He likes stay up late having online challenges with his siblings playing video games. He is excited about the start of the school year and science is his favorite subject.
