Delana is currently looking for her very first apartment. She plans to attend nursing school in fall of 2021 and will be very far from home. She just finished high school and is working on saving for a deposit. Having support with buying furniture would mean a lot to Delana, so she can use her saved money towards other necessities. She has never had anything new of her own before so it would be an amazing feeling to pick out furniture that is not a hand me down!

Delana is currently living with a family member after being in foster care for over 11 years. She and all of her siblings aged out of are at age 18. She has moved around almost too many times to count in her life which caused her to fall behind in school to no fault of her own. She really struggled with COVID-19 and the online learning style, so she took it upon herself to find tutoring and extra help to get her through. Against the odds, she has managed to finish 2 years of high school in 6 months, and will walk with her diploma in May 2021! She is looking to get her own place, start college and move forward with her new life.
