Ashley was born to parents who both had mental health disorders and developmental delays. When she was 14 her father was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease and passed away only eight months later. Her mother was unable to care for her and her sister and they ended up in foster care. Living in a group home she graduated from high school and went on to college where she graduated with her degree in Psychology. She has done a lot with her life, including joining the military, getting married, and having beautiful children of her own. She is currently working in hospice to help others through their grief. She received her Master's in Social work in May 2022. and hopes to advocate for children in foster care, as her team advocated for her.

"Hi Ashley, I’m a 32-year old teacher from the Los Angeles area. I’m so happy to help you have something beautiful that you and your kids can spend time enjoying! I just got into gardening myself, but I’m sure your new trellises will put my neglected garden to shame. I truly wish you and your family all the best, take care of yourself and be well! "
