Gardening tools and plants for Ashley to get some dirt therapy

Posted Jun 22, 2021
Gardening is Ashley's new found love and therapy. She was recently able to start playing in the dirt and bringing her back yard to life. However, it can be an expensive hobby to bring peace and joy. She has some gardening tools but would love to get a shovel, some dirt, plants, and a few other items to bring her solitude and make gardening easier. Ashley would greatly appreciate all the love in bringing her new hobby life and bringing herself some peace while playing in the dirt.

Ashley is 35 years old and lives in CO

Ashley was born to parents who both had mental health disorders and developmental delays. When she was 14 her father was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease and passed away only eight months later. Her mother was unable to care for her and her sister and they ended up in foster care. Living in a group home she graduated from high school and went on to college where she graduated with her degree in Psychology. She has done a lot with her life, including joining the military, getting married, and having beautiful children of her own. She is currently working in hospice to help others through their grief. She received her Master's in Social work in May 2022. and hopes to advocate for children in foster care, as her team advocated for her.

Awesome Human grants the wish for Ashley! Thanks Awesome Human.

"Hey Ashley, I also love to dig in the dirt and help life grow! Potted plants are great too because they can live right on your windowsill. Seeds are cheap, light and travel well. Dirt in a cup , some sun and water and you can start a garden wherever and whenever you can. I hope you have a good day today. Sincerely, K"
