Mary is a devoted "Nana" to Kaleb. She is raising him on her own, and because Kaleb is autistic, she is responsible for transporting him to multiple weekly therapy appointments. Mary relies on her truck to get them all around town, but her air conditioning has stopped working and it is just miserable in her vehicle. With the heat of the Kentucky summer upon them, Mary is hoping the One Simple Wish community can help to pay for the repairs to her air conditioning system and get them back on the road again!

Mary was placed in foster care as an infant. She is very grateful for her foster mom, and who raised her to be a strong woman, and she points to her as preparing Mary to care for her own grandson. Mary has taken on the responsibility of raising Kaleb, who is autistic, and he is the light of her life. She is his permanent guardian and is there for him everyday - from the sweet smiles and big hugs, to comforting him when he wakes up scared of the dark. Mary is the best Nana out there!
