Catarina enjoys maintaining her social media connections with her friends and family in Guatemala. She has enjoyed vlogging about her life and new transitions while being in foster care. Since she does not have a phone, Catarina is wishing for a DJI2 pocket camera in order to document important events and experiences. Then she can edit her videos and send them over to her family so they all feel more connected to each other. Down the line, Catarina will be so grateful for these captured memories.
Catarina is 18 years old and lives in CA
Catarina is a very shy but often smiling teenager who has been in foster care since 2020. She arrived as an Unaccompanied minor from Guatemala and has no family in the U.S. This was a very scary transition and she has been so brave. Catarina is very helpful and respectful in her foster home and has been learning and slowly understanding about why she was paced in foster care. Catarina is dynamic in the sense that she has picked up the English language and immersed in all English academic studies. She enjoys athletics, music and has a profound appreciation for the graphic arts.
