Jason wishes for a new pair of boots because his were recently stolen. He recently got an apartment of his own with just a little supervision from his former foster family. This was a huge step in his life toward independence and learning to survive when some boys he thought were his friends broke in and stole most of his clothing and shoes. This really has him down in the dumps and questioning if he will be able to make it on his own. A new pair of boots would lighten his load of discouragement.
Jason is 24 years old and lives in NC
Jason is a great kid who has experienced much trauma in his life. In spite of it all, he is trying hard to adjust. He loves his foster family and is attached to them dearly. He has aged out of foster care and learning to live mostly on his own. He is just like any young guy that loves sports, video games, surfing the web, and eating junk food. He really wants to be able to make it on his own, but still requires support and encouragement from his former foster family.
