Maisey put a new coat on her Christmas wish list for her sister. In fact, all her wishes were for her siblings and not for herself. When Maisey goes to the mall with her foster mother she stares longingly at Sephora, Rue 21, and American eagle but never asks for anything for herself. Maisey thinks that the less she takes the more her siblings will get. She deserves a nice Christmas outfit for her herself without feeling guilty.

Maisey is a teenage girl who is developing her personality and sense of self. Maisey is learning what the world is all about. Maisey loves art, music, and like most teenage girls, the mall. Maisey is not used to living in a safe environment only needing to worry about what to wear to school the next day or turning in her assignments. It's hard for Maisey not to parent her younger siblings but with the help of her foster mom, she is thriving and learning to be a kid. Maisey is doing amazing in school and participating in sports when she is able to. Maisey saves up all of her allowances in order to have an 'emergency fund' in case she ever needs it.
