Catarina has been in the United States for just over a year and has learned so much about the American Culture through daily school and peer interaction. She is interested in increasing her verbal pronunciation by adding daily practice when she walks home from school. She'd like a mini Bluetooth speaker she can hang on her back pack while she listens to English Emersion Programs.
Catarina is 18 years old and lives in CA
Catarina is a very shy but often smiling teenager who has been in foster care since 2020. She arrived as an Unaccompanied minor from Guatemala and has no family in the U.S. This was a very scary transition and she has been so brave. Catarina is very helpful and respectful in her foster home and has been learning and slowly understanding about why she was paced in foster care. Catarina is dynamic in the sense that she has picked up the English language and immersed in all English academic studies. She enjoys athletics, music and has a profound appreciation for the graphic arts.
