A Fishing Cap for Shawn to help him prepare for spring

Posted Feb 21, 2022
Shawn wishes for a fishing cap to wear this spring. He is looking forward to going fishing and having fun as the weather warms up. Caps are important to Shawn because he has a surgery scar on the side of his head and he really likes for it to be covered. This will help Shawn feel more secure and confident while he has fun fishing.

Shawn is 18 years old and lives in NC

Shawn is a wonderful young man who struggles with the lasting effects of abuse and neglect. He has many special needs and requires a high level of care and attention. He likes being part of the family and likes working on fixing things. Shawn likes to eat Chick-fil-A and listen to music. Shawn loves helping people and wants to be a teacher someday.

"Hi Shawn, I hope this hat brings you all the confidence and joy! I decided to purchase this hat for you because of the significance this day is. It will be the last calendar day where a 6 digit date will repeat like this in our lifetime. I thought that was pretty cool and that simple fact made me happy! It's crazy how the small things can make you smile! Have a wonderful time fishing!! -Jasmine "
