Antoinette is taking a gap year before going back for her Master’s because she has always dreamed of starting her own business. Antoinette has always loved to make jewelry, design planters, restore furniture, and more. She will be starting to sell her crafts at local pop-ups and create a website to sell her products. Antoinette is a graduating senior at California State University, Long Beach majoring in Sociology with a minor in Communication. She plans to become a Social Worker to work with foster youth and one day work for a non-profit organization that gives back to disproportionately impacted communities. Antoinette currently volunteers with a non-profit as a court appointed special advocate for foster youth. She also plans to join the Peace Corp to tackle challenges people face in rural communities globally. Antoinette is taking a gap year before going back for her master’s because she has always had a dream of starting her own business
