Janie has lower body gender reaffirming surgery scheduled in August. Although she is excited for it, she is nervous about the recovery process. She has a lot of support in her group home, but unfortunately her bed is not very comfortable. Her case management team would love to get Janie a mattress topper for her bed to make sure she is comfortable while recovering.
Janie is 22 years old and lives in NJ
Janie is a young adult who has had many different placements throughout her time in care. Janie is a transgender youth who resides in an LGBTQ friendly group home. She loves fashion and dressing up. Janie would like to one day be a model. Janie recently had gender affirming surgery. She is happy to finally feel like the woman she is. Janie is smart and caring, and is currently obsessed with Stranger Things on Netflix and working out.
