Jason has had quite a difficult past. He walked into a local division office requesting shelter when he was 17 years old. The Division obtained custody of him, as his adoptive father passed away in 2009 and his adoptive mother was unable to care for him due to her chronic medical condition and Jason’s behavioral challenges. Jason is still under the care and supervision of the Division while working diligently to improve his life. Jason has been in several replacements since his removal from his adoptive home. He continues working towards independent living with the help of the Division. He is a high school graduate, and has completed the Life Skills Program thereby allowing him the tools necessary to begin working towards an independent life as a young adult. He currently works part-time and is also attending a two-year online school for Music Production. He is doing extremely well with his courses given his circumstances. Jason has had many difficult setbacks in life, but he continues moving forward. He has grown by leaps and bounds over the years! Jason’s hobby is creating music which led him to enroll in the online Los Angeles Film School for Music Production. Creating musical tracks for others helps him earn extra income when he isn’t working. Jason is determined to complete his online schooling and move forward in starting his own business.
