Due to no fault of their own, Amirah and her sons are currently residing in a shelter. The home they once knew and loved was condemned due to negligence on the owner's behalf. This has flipped their world upside down. Amirah's sons are both autistic, which makes has made this transition extremely difficult. They are young and don't understand why they can't go home. Amirah is trying her hardest to help them understand as well as incorporate some normalcy into their lives. While the shelter provides essentials and some food, Amirah is struggling to get her boys to eat. Due to their autism, they struggle with textures and consistency of their foods. Amirah would love to pick up some of their favorite safe foods to store for them when they do not like what is being served at the shelter.
