HomeWorks will be taking the scholars on their annual overnight retreat to Camp Canadensis this year. This year includes various outdoor activities, such as wall climbing, low ropes courses, and some water activities. These activities are intended to help the scholars build relationships and bond before rooming together. Additional activities Cameron will engage in include lake fun, a night hike, and indulging in S’mores by the campfire. Last year, the scholars even hosted their own talent show in which Cameron helped to choreograph a dance with her group. Cameron, who has been part of HomeWorks since 2018 and is now a Peer Leader and was given this distinguished title because of her growth over the past several years. Cameron would greatly benefit from this trip because she would get the chance to connect with the new scholars participating in the program and she will also be able to show her leadership abilities in the activities planned for this trip.
