This will be Ruth's first Halloween trick-or-treating in the United States. She would like to wear this costume when she goes out with her friends and see what Halloween is like here. She is excited for Halloween and this costume will help her celebrate and continue to adjust well to the U.S. Spending time with friends and learning about U.S culture is a way for Ruth to feel connected to her new environment and add to her positive experiences.

Ruth is a girl from Central America who recently entered the program. She is an empathetic, humble, and reserved girl. She likes to bake, ride her bicycle to the park, and eat oranges off the tree in her backyard. Ruth is eager to learn the language and has been working hard to learn new words and phrases. Now she is interested in learning how to play the piano.
