Matthew is a young adult with special needs looking a family or individual who will give him the support and guidance he needs to continue thriving. He is non-verbal but communicates effectively by using hand gestures, movements, and by lovingly grabbing your hand and guiding you to what he wants. He also utilizes the Picture Exchange Communication System which enables him to communicate via pictures. He is easy going, mild mannered and easily redirected. Matthew shows you affection by smiling at you and verbalizing his happiness with sounds when he sees you. He thrives with structure and consistency but adjusts well to any environment and goes with the flow. Matthew attends a specialized school where he thrives and does very well. Matthew loves being outdoors, such as the local park, amusement parks, and going for walks. He enjoys swinging on swings, sliding down slides, and relaxing on his beanie bag. He will accompany you to the grocery store or to the mall with no problem. At home, Matthew enjoys listening to music on his headphones, watching videos on his iPad and watching TV. He also enjoys jumping on his trampoline and playing with sensory toys. His favorite holiday is Fourth of July because he enjoys watching the fireworks.
