A bike to help Barbara commute to school

Barbara is starting college in the fall. She's both nervous and excited about this new chapter, but she knows she will succeed because she has a great support network helping her. She's moving into independent living near campus and needs a bike to get to campus since she doesn't drive. With temperatures well into the 100s in the fall and spring, having a bike will help keep Barbara cooler while commuting, save her time getting to campus and in between classes, and help her stay active!

Barbara is, without a doubt, one of a kind. Her spirit is so bright, and she always wants to make others happy, often spreading positive affirmations. She's been in CPS custody since 2015. Barbara has been in over 30 placements spanning from foster homes, kinship homes, shelters, treatment centers, and even no placement at all at times. She was separated from her siblings, now being the only child in CPS care. Despite her rocky times, Barbara has overcome so many hurdles! Barbara wants to better herself and her future, and she strives for more.
